Nearly 500 Students from 26 States Move into UNOH Dorms

The University of Northwestern Ohio prepares for its largest influx of students on any one day during the year.  The university campus dorms will have nearly 500 students move in on Friday, August 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m..  The students are travelling in from 26 different states.  August 24th is the first day of classes for the College of Applied Technologies Fall Session.  Programs of study in the College of Applied Technologies include: Automotive Supervision Technology, High Performance Motorsports, Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, Alternate Fuels, Agricultural Equipment Technology, and HVAC/R Technology.   For students in the Colleges of Business, Health Professions, Occupational Professions and Graduate College, classes start on September 14. 

As students move in, they will be treated to complimentary food and refreshments from Grace Community Church and be offered assistance from the UNOH RACER Leaders.  Incoming students are also invited to special events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings at Club UNOH to help them meet one another and make new friends before classes begin.

More than 4500 students attend the University of Northwestern Ohio, with 1400 students living in campus dorms.  Over 200 students graduate from UNOH every six weeks.

According to the Allen Economic Development Group, The University of Northwestern Ohio has an impact of over $250 million dollars on the local economy.
