Dove Vaske, an Automotive and High Performance Motorsports student at the University of Northwestern Ohio was chosen as the August 2015 Snap-On 110% Award Winner.
Vaske was nominated by Chris Woods, an instructor in the College of Applied Technologies at UNOH. Vaske is an excellent example of a student that wants to succeed and was a pleasure to have in class according to Woods. When asked why he nominated Vaske, Mr. Woods said, “She excelled as a student and as a leader in the classroom. She was very involved in the shop, instrumental in motivating other students, worked diligently to complete all of her work, while at the same time leading and encouraging others to achieve more.”
Woods continued “Dove has the drive and ability to be anything that she wants to be. Every day she came to class and gave all the energy that she had left. She is a wife and mother of 4 daughters, ages 3 to 13, and works a part time job at Texas Roadhouse and goes to school full time. I believe she can be an example to future students that goals can be conquered if you just give it your all.”
Vaske will complete her coursework on December 23, 2015. Upon graduating, Vaske and her family will be moving from Wapakoneta to the Danville, Kentucky area to pursue her passion of working on cars. She and her husband would like to build and race a drag car.
The 110% Award is sponsored by Snap-On Tools at the University of Northwestern Ohio.
