Posted on Monday, February 29, 2016

The Barnes & Noble @ UNOH is hosting its first ever De-Stress Fest for UNOH Students before finals week begins for students in the Colleges of Applied Technologies, Business, Health Professions, and Occupational Professions.   The event is free, open to all UNOH students, and will take place at the bookstore on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The De-Stress fest will feature the following activities:

  • Adult Coloring Contest – Supplies will be provided for students to color a page in an adult coloring book. Pictures will be posted on the Barnes & Noble @ UNOH Facebook page and the student who’s picture gets the most likes by March 17, 2016 will win a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card.  The 2nd place student will win a UNOH water bottle.
  • Stress Ball Making – Materials will be provided for students to create their own stress ball to help work out the stress of finals week while studying or writing papers.
  • Dog Therapy – Studies have shown that a little love from our furry friends can relax even the most stressed-out person by lowering cortisol levels and increasing oxytocin and endorphin levels. Students will have the opportunity to cuddle with some puppies before taking on their final exams.
Students in attendance can also enter various drawings to win free prizes including Barnes & Noble gift cards and UNOH Spirit Wear.
