UNOH Unveils Racers Station: A New Student Center

Posted on Tuesday, August 16, 2016

The University of Northwestern Ohio is proud to announce the official grand opening of the new student club, Racers Station, located at 1365 N. Cable Road.  The Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening will take place at 11:00 a.m. on August 30, 2016.

The site, purchased in August 2014, consists of 1 acre of property, 70 parking spaces, and an 8,400 square foot building. This new facility is open to all current UNOH students and will serve as a home base for many social activities on campus.  UNOH President, Dr. Jeffrey A. Jarvis stated, “This facility was built to include multiple lounge areas, pool tables, a dance floor, performance stage, televisions, video gaming consoles, separate study areas, fire pits and an outdoor dining space”.  Racers Station has an urban industrial design and has many unique features including glass garage doors that can be opened when weather permits.  This center will now accommodate university dances, live music nights, comedy shows, pool tournaments and so much more.

The completion of this building means the former student center, Club UNOH, located in the UNOH Event Center, will now be available for community members to rent for personal and social events.
