(TOLEDO, Ohio – December 23,  2016) – Officials from the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the University of Northwestern Ohio have announced that UNOH has extended its contract as the Official and Exclusive Educational Partner of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. The one-year agreement extends the ARCA/UNOH promotional relationship to 15 years, one of the longest partnerships in the ARCA Sanction.

“Every year since our partnership began with ARCA, we have averaged 35-45 students that want to be a part of this program,” Dr. Jeff Jarvis, UNOH President offered. “We have many students that have attended UNOH, participated in the ARCA Club and graduated with job offers from ARCA teams. It’s a great program, and one that provides real-life experience for our students who aspire to work in the motorsports industry.”

The University of Northwest Ohio’s comprehensive marketing program features the ARCA Race Club, a student internship program designed to allow students to participate in real-world situations as crew members on ARCA Racing Series teams. More than 30 students annually participate in the ARCA Race Club, working with existing ARCA teams as crew members during the course of the 20 event season. Teams utilizing UNOH Student interns, and who meet specific eligibility requirements, can earn pre-race and year-end contingency awards from UNOH for their participation.

“The UNOH program is an amazing program,” commented Mark Gundrum, VP Business Development and Corporate Partnerships for ARCA.  It’s designed to help the students, but it also helps the teams, and it helps individuals who seek to continue their education through the scholarship. It’s a great program. On behalf of everyone involved in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, thanks to Dr. Jarvis and UNOH for their continued support.”
