The University of Northwestern Ohio’s Chapter of the American Marketing Association is hosting a Regional Collegiate Conference for AMA Chapters from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky on October 21 from 8:30am-4:00pm.  Hosted and managed by AMA Collegiate Chapters, Regional Conferences are events where other AMA chapters and local Universities attend for Professional Development, hear from speakers in the field, partake in competitions, and meet with career recruiters. Regional High School DECA Chapters have also been invited to attend the conference at UNOH.

Events at the UNOH Regional Conference include a mixer on Friday, October 20 for all attendees held at Racers Station.  During the Saturday event, speakers will include Millennial Digital Keynote Speaker and Podcast Host, Brian Fanzo, UNOH Alum and NOW Marketing’s Jessika Phillips, and Ashley Thompson owner of 50 Strong.

There will also be three major competitions for collegiate chapters to participate in:

Pitch Perfect (sponsored by Crown Equipment)

Marketing Strategy (sponsored by 50 strong)

Social Media Strategy (sponsored by NOW Marketing)

This is the first AMA Regional Collegiate Conference to be held in Ohio in several years.  After winning Small Chapter of the Year at the National AMA Conference last year, the UNOH AMA Chapter Members decided their next goal would be to organize and host their own Regional Collegiate Conference.  Regional Conferences are an important means of professional development in the American Marketing Association. By hosting, the UNOH AMA Chapter will gain points for the annual competition.
