Tony Azzarello, Torque, and Trey Becker welcome students to the Virtual Open House

Every April hundreds of prospect students visit UNOH to tour campus, learn about campus services, explore their major, and hear from current UNOH students and instructors. The 100-year old university was ready to welcome these families, but this year, they had to welcome them virtually. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Spring Preview Days scheduled over the course of two weekends, transformed to a 3-day virtual event.

The university worked hard to make this event as close to the in-person experience as possible. Employees, students, partners, and more came together to create materials to add to the virtual experience. Videos from DirtCar driver Kenny Wallace to Monster Jam’s Bryce Kenny were utilized to show how far the UNOH community reaches.

During these uncertain times, it is great to see the UNOH family come together during the challenges the university faces. UNOH has transformed into an online campus temporarily. The employees and community are working together to provide the best education and resources while working towards regaining normal university ways.

UNOH’s Virtual Open House was a breath of fresh air to interact and see the numbers of prospective students, even if it was interaction online. More than 800 people logged in this weekend to see what UNOH may hold for them in their future.
